Sam Halpert
Sam Halpert, a retired typographer, has recently completed a novel; his short stories have appeared in the Kansas Quarterly and Columbia. In gathering material for Raymond Carver, he crisscrossed the country several times, ranging from his home in South Miami to New England, the Midwest, California, and the Pacific Northwest. Excerpts from his Carver interviews have appeared in the Paris Review and Pushcart Prize XVII.
