A must read for all Iowa sports enthusiast, no matter how long you've followed the scene. Buck Turnbull spent 41 years in the sports department of the Des Moines Register, retiring in 1993. He wrote about a wide variety of sports, and interviewed a number of national headliners as they crossed through the Iowa scene.
